Jacqueline Fernandez is a Sri Lankan actress, former model and winner of the 2006 Miss Universe pageant. In 2009, she starred in the Bollywood film Aladdin and has been pursuing a career in the film industry ever since. Born into a multi-ethnic family of Canadian, Sri Lankan and Malaysian descent, Fernandez grew up in Bahrain. After graduating from the University of Sydney with a degree in Mass Communication and working as a TV reporter in Sri Lanka, she joined the acting industry. She was crowned Miss Universe in 2006 and represented her country.
